Wits University scientists have recently discovered new fossils which they think may belong to ‘Karabo’, a female 2-million-year-old Australopithecus sediba. The uncovering of the fossilised skeleton found at the Malapa site of the Cradle of Humankind will be broadcast live on the internet and “the public will be able to participate fully in Live Science and future discoveries as they occur in real time – an unprecedented moment in palaeoanthropology” said Professor Lee Berger FRSSAf of Wits Institute for Human Evolution.(Image of Prof Berger from http://www.maropeng.co.za/)
