Great topics and R50 000 prizes for School Essays!

National School Science Essay Competition for 2019 offers R50 000 worth of prizes  sponsored by the Claude Leon Foundation.  To enter, write an essay of 1  000 – 2  000 words on one of the following topics

  • Is Science humankind’s greatest achievement?
  • How will the “Fourth Industrial Revolution” benefit South Africa?
  • Should bottled water be banned in South Africa?

In each of the three topics, the prizes are:     1st prize R5 000 ,   2nd prize R4 000,   3rd prize R3 000. Plus two Merit Prizes to the value of R1000 each.

Teachers can win  the “Royal Society of South Africa Avid Educators” prizes valued at R2 000.

Remember to include your references as well as in-text referencing!
